| | | | | | | | | | | | Welcome | | | | | | We’re delighted to present the first ever Culture Night Belfast , which will be held in the city’s historic Cathedral Quarter on Friday 25th September. Inspired by the success of annual events held in capitals such as Reykjavik, Copenhagen and Dublin, Belfast’s very own Culture Night will see venues, artists’ studios, galleries, historic buildings, cultural organisations, churches and more throw open their doors for what promises to be a magical event . The evening will give opportunities to people of all ages to try out many of those different types of experiences that make Belfast’s cultural output so rich. Cathedral Quarter will be totally transformed for the evening as public areas and streets are turned into performance spaces. People will be able to explore the Quarter whilst taking part in free talks, workshops, performances and tours. Culture Night Belfast will open up the city’s cultural life and offer tourists and locals alike a fantastic and free opportunity to experience all it has to offer.
Culture Night Belfast wishes to thank Dermot McLaughlin and Lorraine Maye from the Temple Bar Cultural Trust/Culture Night Dublin for their support and invaluable assistance in developing our own Culture Night here in Cathedral Quarter. Using the Dublin model, eleven cities and regions in the Republic of Ireland are hosting their own Culture Nights on Friday September 25th as well .
