The sadly necessary cordon around the old bank buildings following the recent fire at Primark has caused Royal Avenue to seem like a ghost town of late.
All that is about to change on Culture Night Belfast on 21 September, as we present a stage of rip-roaring acts to reclaim lower Royal Avenue from gloom and demonstrate that it’ll take more than a little fire to dampen our spirits!
The CNB Right Royal Avenue stage will offer colourful dynamic contrast to the backdrop of the ruin, with spectacular performances from Chidambaram, Sink the Ink, The Lotties, Daydream Nation and Electric Octopus.
The guys from psychedelic sonic adventurers Electric Octopus (for one) are raring to go!
“Last year was an unbelievable experience and we have no doubt that this year will be even better. We got you primed and ready last time so brace yourself for a trip to another dimension. Once again, we fully encourage everyone to come along, bring some good vibes and lets make this one to remember …..Because THIS IS OUR CULTURE……. NIGHT!!”
There will be further “Right Royal” fun to be had our Culture Night Ceili stage, with dancing from the McElhinney School of Dance and a South Belfast Irish Dance for Adults. If you‘re up for swinging both ways (careful now!), then the Hounds of Ulster will be singing AND dancing and generally raising the roof.
Join us on 21 September for Culture Night, when we come together and dream a better Belfast!
