Award-winning performer Die Hexen (a.k.a. Dianne Lucille Campbell) will have her performance of My Blood from Belfast’s Black Box online on December 5 in association with the disabled-led charity University of Atypical.

Die Hexen is an IFTA winning & BIFA nominated multi-instrumentalist composer, producer, sound artist, performance artist and IFTA nominated & award winning filmmaker.

She explores themes such as life, death, the afterlife, vivid dreams, celestial mysticism, the spiritual and the supernatural. Born and raised on the remote coast of Northern Ireland, her Avant-garde and often otherworldly compositions exist and operate on the edge of reality.

A notable constant throughout Die Hexen’s musical journey is her preternatural understanding of the union of sound and vision. She is truly mesmeric in her performance and stage shows, and this hypnotic transportational quality carries through in her abilities as a composer. From sweeping orchestral scores to minimal percussion, hypnotic synths and delicate piano refrains, Die Hexen is known for creating unique sound worlds spanning a wide range of genres for narrative, experimental film, animation, dance, performance and game.

Winning commissions for her work from The British Film Institute, Screen Ireland, NI Screen, UK Games Fund, Scottish Documentary Institute, Arts Council, The Welcome Trust, DIE is a member of AWFC, Screen Composers Guild of Ireland, The Musicians Union and a Jury member of The Ivors Academy.

Her work has screened across International film festivals such as TIFF, Tribeca, Santa Barbara International Film Festival, HOT DOCS, Sheffield Doc Fest, Edinburgh FF, Aesthetica, London Short Film Festival, Cork, Galway Film Fleadh, Dublin International Film Fest, Berlin & New York Lift-Off Festival and Paris – ÉCU – European Independent Film Festival.

Her self-made Award winning film ‘EL HOR’ won the Michael Dwyer Discovery Award at Dublin International Film Festival 2019, also won Best Experimental Film at ÉCU – European Independent Festival (2019) in Paris and was granted a special commendation at Belfast Film Festival (2019).
My Blood was performed and recorded in the Black Box, Belfast in November 2020.
