Children and adults are in for a festive creativity bumper thanks to Golden Thread Gallery running two free workshops in December.

The Christmas workshops are designed to be fun-packed sessions on Saturday, December 5 for the adults and on Saturday December 12 for children.

The Christmas Workshop for Grown Ups runs from 7-8pm on Zoom, with the Golden Thread Gallery elves Katherine and Esther showing how to create beautiful paper decorations.
Wearing of Christmas jumpers, and maybe enjoying beverages has been strongly encouraged by the elves, as is glitter.

Participants will learn how to make two different origami Christmas decorations, a snowflake and a star (as seen at the GTG Christmas market last year), and hopefully get into the Christmas spirit.

They have even a Christmas Spotify playlist chosen by the Golden Thread Gallery team on https://open.spotify.com/playlist/70SfVoWVuj6cg5tobI5R6D.

On Saturday, December 12, from 12-1pm is the workshop for Junior Gallery young artists.
The young artists will learn how to make your own Christmas Decorations from paper plates and paper from around the house!

They will learn how to make a hanging Christmas tree decoration and a Christmas wreath in our fun, creative, festive activity.

The Halifax Foundation NI, has helped provide free art packs with the supplies needed available for collection from the Gallery.
