To celebrate the 80th Birthday of legendary American artist Bob Dylan, Northern Ireland’s finest songwriters come together in a one-off recorded live event. 

One of the most influential singer-songwriters of the 20th century, he is renowned for his songs that narrate social and political issues.

Throughout his career, Bob Dylan has received Grammy, Academy, and Golden Globe awards, as well as the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Nobel Prize for Literature.

Join Anthony Toner, Ben Glover, and Matt McGinn on May 24th as they reminisce about their memories with the legend himself and reimagine their own favourites from the Bob Dylan songbook.

Ben Glover 

Irish singer-songwriter Ben Glover merges his Irish roots with American music influences and delivers a sound that is uniquely his own. 

He is well recognised for both his solo work and as a collaborator. Blackbirds the song co-written with Gretchen Peters was awarded song of the year in 2017 by the AMAUK.

His latest EP, Sweet Wild Lily, is a four-track record includes, recently released singles Arguing With Ghosts and Sweet Wild Lily, as well as new tracks Broke Down and Fireflies Dancing.

Matt McGinn

Co. Down singer/songwriter Matt McGinn has four critically acclaimed studio albums under his belt. His lead single ‘Bubblegum’ and his album ‘Lessons of War’ have been described as extraordinary while his latest release ‘Something’ became the most played song on BBC Radio Ulster.

His latest singles ‘Annie (Many Moons Ago)’ and ‘Lighthouse Joe’ have been described as the best songs you will hear all year.

He and fellow performers used their time in lockdown to develop the online platform Cocoons. The platform has hosted over 140 performances, raising over £12,000 for various charities.

Anthony Toner

Renowned guitar player and one of Northern Ireland’s most popular live acts. Belfast-based Anthony Toner is best known for his song Sailortown. The late Radio Ulster presenter Gerry Anderson helped make it Anthony’s best-known track. 

Either as a solo acoustic artist, ‘In the Round’ with friends, or on electric guitar, playing slide blues in the Ronnie Greer Blues Band he’s chalking up dozens of live shows each year.

Anthony’s latest album Ghost Notes, Vol 1. is a collection of ten songs originally recorded by other artists, all of which are Toner’s personal favourites.
