Output Belfast have announced the date for their annual NI music industry conference, “The Future is Unwritten”. Output Belfast launched in 2015 as a response to a need for a world class platform for local artists to showcase their skills as well as a professional platform for discussion around the music industry here in Northen Ireland.
The conference, which is funded by Belfast City Council and Belfast Music, will take place over Zoom on Thursday 18th February between 1pm – 6pm and will be a half day of conversations around music and the music industry. Topics up for discussion will include live music, publishing, composing, music and AI, playlisting in radio and music funding.
Talks will focus on where the sector is now, looking at the previous 12 months and discussing ‘the pathway towards the future of a viable, sustainable, creative and inclusive music industry here in NI’.
Speakers for this year’s event include Jes Skolnik from Bandcamp, Linda Coogan Byrne of Good Seed PR, Claire Batchelor a composer for film and TV and Jo Wright from the Arts Council NI with more to be announced.
