As part of the online Capture Creativity and Technology Conference Production Designer and Art Director Szymon Biernacki will discuss his EMMY winning film Klaus, Netflix’s first feature animation on November 19.

Syzmon has been involved in multiple different productions, including animations, animatics for games and animated series, as well as scooping an Emmy for Klaus. He is an Annie Award winning Art Director and Visual Development Artist working in the animation industry.

Born and raised in Warsaw, Poland, where he studied Architecture until his love for drawing and animation made him quit university to become a full-time artist.

Currently based in Madrid, Spain, he has spent the last seven years working at The SPA Studios helping Sergio Pablos develop original ideas for animated movies.

His credits include movies such as “Smallfoot” (Warner Bros.), animatics for games (e.g. “Age of Empires Online”) and animated series (e.g. “Halo 4 Spartan Ops”). But the definite highlight in his career is his role as Production Designer on the 2020 BAFTA award winning film, “Klaus” (Netflix) directed by Sergio Pablos.
